Today, I had the honor of witnessing another family member committed to getting healthier!!!! My mom! At the young age of 73, she competed in her first 5K and took home a third place medal for her age division! As much as she would love to say she didn't deserve it. I have this to say....how many of her friends at that age were out there with her? Who else devoted their 4th of July to walk 3.1 miles? Who, at 73 years young would think they could walk their first ever 5 K event in well under 60 minutes? It was also very thrilling to my heart to see a dear friend "pay it forward" and walk with her!
Don't doubt what you are capable of for one single moment! Get out there and move!! No excuses!!
