In "Running for Mortals", they make a pretty powerful statement. The authors wanted to write a book with a long title for a short book. No publishing company would take them, but here is their theory. One that I have long believed. Be patient, but read on...
No-Nonsense Guide to Substantial Weight loss and Sustainable Weight management: A Comprehensive Approach. The book in it's entirety read: Eat less, move more.
That was their plan, pretty simple. They go on to explain in "Running for Mortals". Gaining weight? Eat less, move more. Just had a baby, need to lose weight? Eat less, move more. You get it. Here's what we know for sure: Carbs are good. Carbs are bad. Protein is good, except when it's bad. And fat is always bad, except when it's good.
Fact: Movement, IS a magic pill. It takes 30 minutes a day, three-four times a week. It IS the magic pill that only works if you keep taking it for the rest of your life. No other "magic pill" or "potion" will work.

So true! All the doctors and scientists are always changing their minds about what's good or bad and what works or doesn't. I'm with you- eat a healthy, balanced diet and move more, then you're off to a good start. Great motivation!
